my job is to convince my job, when i was a director, was to convince people that my ideas are good convince them to come onboard convince them to work hard enough i’ve never made any money, but if i did, it would be to convince them to give me money because i can convince people to pay to watch
even with actors it’s all about convincing them, using by appealing to their experience and emotion, to perform honestly within themselves
over the years, the thing that became very apparent is that i was the person who cared the most so i became de facto in charge and yes, i was one of the directors in these situations but it’s weird because you share equal responsibility until there is an issue of quality
then the one who notices is in charge if i know the project will be worse off if we dont do it, i become the person pushing hard to procure it even when my crew dont wanna do it
and this becomes normal
so u can see my success is dependent on all the people listening to me to act accordingly
so a lot of relationships became weird as my work churned like this because now ive spent 80 hours this week convincing those to believe me and now in the home you are doubting me
because through all this in all situations im asking this of you because i believe it benefits YOUUUUU!!!!!
it’s disorientating imploring those to do what is good and they dont wanna do it and in fact, the burden of proof is on you to prove that they should do
so i eased up stopped trying to convince but i dont know if this is just the way it is
